TN READERS are invited to become involved in shaping an apprenticeship programme which will attract more individuals into Scotland’s road haulage sector.
“The views of employers of all sizes are needed to support the redesign of the Driving Goods Vehicle Modern Apprenticeship which will meet the skills need of employers in Scotland,” suggested Shellie Montgomery, development manager of Skills Development Scotland.
“The review is to be conducted through a new industry-led approach so that employers can take ownership of the design and construction of apprenticeship schemes to ensure they are relevant, adaptable and create the skills they need,” she said.
The first TEG meeting was due to take place in Glasgow on 30 March. Readers who wish to become involved or find out more should contact [email protected]
