TJ HAMMOND Transport Ltd recently took delivery of a new flagship, an MAN 26.510 TGX 6×2 tractor featuring the OptiView mirror replacement system and the GX cab.
The OptiView system replaces all conventional mirror arms and mirrors, using five exterior cameras, two on each side of the vehicle, which are mounted above the door frames close to the leading edge of the A-pillars and a fifth camera which replaces the forward facing Cyclops mirror.
The cameras are splash and waterproof, self-cleaning and heated automatically, ensuring images are transmitted to displays even in low light or at night.
