For all the talk of a downturn, orders remain strong in the tipper and moving floor markets, reports Steve Banner. PREDICTIONS that the UK economy will judder into reverse this year have yet to dampen the desire for tipping trailers.
Demand for Weightlifter’s product line-up remains ‘pretty buoyant’ said managing director, Nigel Butler. “It feels like there is a general slowing down in the economy, but we’re still busy,” he reported.
“We’ve got plenty of orders in hand and we’re looking at delivery times in September if you want more than three or four tipping trailers,” he continued. If only one or two are needed then it may be possible to build and deliver them earlier if production slots fall vacant.
