SOME TRUCKS create a vacuum around themselves simply because people have to draw breath when looking at what’s in front of them. Trucks like Newquip’s latest pair of 660hp V8 Scania tractors delivered to the highest possible standard, writes Alan Watts.
“Yes, we’ve gone to town a bit on these two,” said Gill Thomas, Newquip’s transport manager. “Travelling the length and breadth of the UK, they are a ‘home from home’ for their drivers Steve and Sam, as well as being a great advert for the company. We see our drivers and their trucks as Newquip’s ambassadors to the industries we serve, so we want both to be the best!”
Based just off the A1(M) at Leeming Bar in North Yorkshire, the new trucks operate with either walking floor or curtainsider trailers, so have to be spec’d accordingly.
