The great and the good from the North of England road haulage industry arrived in Manchester to attend this year’s Transport News Northern Rewards celebration breakfast.
THE INTERNATIONAL Suite in Manchester’s Mercure Piccadilly Hotel took on the mantle of the ideal backdrop for a showcase event, this time for the Transport News Northern Rewards presentation which began in traditional style with a ‘Full English’ breakfast for all 230 guests.
Transport News editor Kevin Swallow then introduced not only a busy awards programme, but the morning’s popular presenters, well known Midlands media personality Sameena Ali-Khan who, with comedian Scott Bennett alongside, steered the event through all 15 categories and master minded the ‘Top Table Draw’, the Top Northern Road Haulage Livery final and the popular raffle for Transaid, the event’s chosen charity.
