BEELSBY Contractors said the addition of two Fruehauf tippers has improved the efficiency of its operations at Immingham Docks.
The two stepframe smoothsider tippers and Scania R450 tractors are part of the company’s 20 strong fleet that transport seed, gypsum and grain to and from the docks.
“We do a lot of work on the docks so the air back doors and automatic sheets are a huge advantage because it means the drivers don’t have to get out of the cabs. It makes our work much more efficient,” said Beelsby Contractors partner Joe Fenwick. “The flat-sided trailers are also easy to clean and maintain.
“We have had other trailers before that are unstable on uneven ground. There is no such problem with our Fruehauf tippers. They’re extremely sturdy solid units just perfect for the job.”
The new tippers will each cover more than 100,000km per annum.
Beelsby Contractors, located six miles from Grimsby, has a strong relationship with Fruehauf.
