THE LCV division of Motus Commercials is embarking on an extensive upgrade of its Hardgate Road site in Glasgow, to deliver warranty and service facilities for all its Fiat Professional, Ford, Isuzu and VW LCV customers under one roof.
This is a first for the dealer group in Scotland. Sales for Fiat Professional and Isuzu will continue from the enhanced site under existing manager, Andrew Halliday who will also assume full site responsibility on its reopening.
The planned works will include a stand-alone 12 bay service, the first of its kind in the Motus Commercials nationwide operation, as well as enlarged office accommodation.
Depot manager for the past 17 years, Gus McMillan, is looking for up to 10 new staff for the Ford and VW operations, while existing Isuzu and Fiat sales and service specialists will continue to operate in the new facility. The Isuzu team won the Isuzu Dealer of the Year Award for Customer Care in both 2020 and 2021.
Gareth Kaye, franchise director of LCV activities for Motus Commercials, said: “Motus has had a terrific DAF dealership for many years, just around the corner in Bogmoor Road, and we are looking to mirror the success that it has enjoyed.”
