With a strengthened sales team and a 50% hike in British truck registrations over two years, Isuzu Truck UK is in good shape for further CV sales conquests. Alistair Vallance met up with Isuzu UK hierarchy at their Carlisle dealership.
LAST SEPTEMBER Stuart Beeton, previously best known as a truck sales supremo at Iveco UK, made the decision to join Isuzu Truck UK (ITUK) as head of sales.
“Prior to making the move, I had reservations about marketing a reduced weight range of trucks and I questioned that the much hyped Isuzu Customer Care programme was all that it claimed to be,” he said.
“Now, nine months in the job, I’m delighted that I’m selling 3.5 to 13.5 tonne trucks to his lower weight range industry sector and Isuzu does it remarkably well. In February, SMMT figures confirmed that we are now market leader of 7.5 tonners!
