The boss of Highlands based Seafield Park Transport has bought haulage businesses John H Roberts and R&F Campbell. Steven Barclay spoke to Kevin Swallow about fleet expansion, increasing the customer base and ordering new trucks.
FOR MANY transport businesses operating in the Highlands, diversity is critical to success.
A prime example of that is Seafield Park Transport. Based in Nairn, 16 miles east of Inverness along the coast of the Moray Firth, the haulier is a multifaceted business where it’s probably easier to name the sectors its trucks don’t work in.
Prior to 1 March 2022, before managing director Steven Barclay added two more businesses to the portfolio, Seafield Park Transport operated 32 trucks, which included three eight wheelers, and 52 trailers.
