WHEELY-SAFE technology is being rolled out across Kier Highways Solutions’ fleet of 25 commercial vehicles and trailers.
A division of construction giants Kier, it currently has the product fitted to one Volvo FH 6×2 tractor unit and is in the process of installing it to three curtainside trailers. Four more trucks are due to go on the road in the next few months, all equipped with Wheely-Safe technology.
Dave Parsons, senior transport and compliance manager, Kier Highways Solutions, said: “It will be a gradual process but we will have Wheely-Safe fitted to all of our commercial vehicles and trailers. It’s a foolproof solution to protect us against wheel loss and any issues with the tyre pressures or overheating.”
