AG PARFETT & Sons, northern England based wholesaler and owner of the Go Local store brand, has chosen Ryder Ltd to support its expansion, contract hiring 26 DAF LF230 18 tonne trucks.
The new rigids will operate from five of Parfetts depots: Somercotes, Aintree, Sheffield, Middlesbrough and Stockport.
On average, the trucks will make between eight and nine drops a day to Parfetts’ customers.
The quality of vehicle maintenance was a key factor when Parfetts went out to tender. Craig Johnson, supply chain manager said: “We looked at a number of suppliers and Ryder had the best maintenance package. And in our experience, DAF trucks are reliable.
