A Safety and Security Declaration (SSD) is now used by border authorities to analyse the potential risk caused to their territory by goods crossing their border, however the RHA’s Customs Brokerage is now able to offer SSDs through its managed service to both new and existing customers.
“We know that this has been a huge challenge for hauliers over the last few weeks and we are pleased to be able to open up this service to the industry. These declarations are a requirement for all movements and are the legal responsibility of the haulier,” said an RHA spokesman.
