MARS UK, famous for their ‘Bars’, have announced a new £350m sustainable logistics operation, which will remove one million miles a year from UK roads.
The partnership with logistics provider DHL, will see the construction of two state-of-the-art facilities in the Midlands and East London, reducing Mars’ annual outbound logistics carbon footprint in the UK by 7.7% – equivalent to the annual emissions of heating 543 average UK homes!
‘The new operation will ensure that Mars is well positioned to keep pace with increasing consumer demand and deliver their much-loved portfolio of products to future generations,’ said a spokesman.
