THE ANNUAL Transport News Scottish Rewards presentation breakfast, originally planned to be held on Friday 4 December in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow has been postponed.
Explained consultant editor Alistair Vallance: ‘We have been advised that the hotel is unable to guarantee that it will be able to offer its usual service, particularly with such a large number of guests in the banqueting suite, all due entirely to the currently enforced Covid-19 restrictions.
‘We have therefore arrived at a compromise solution; firstly to cancel the 4 December proceedings and secondly, to postpone the event until Friday 26 February 2021 when, since the presentation is thankfully called the 2021 Rewards, we are still good to go. We have therefore booked the Crowne Plaza for Friday 26 February and aim to run a complete event, all as we know it and love it.
‘All nominations already received for TNSR21 will naturally carry forward and the final date for additional nominations is now 5 January 2021.
‘We have also booked the Crowne Plaza for Friday 3 December 2021 in order to hold the Transport News Scottish Rewards 2022 breakfast.’
