MANY companies have been paralysed by the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic, but some continue to shine through the gloom.
On 1 September, Blackburn based waste haulier Monks Contractors began its biggest ever single contract helping Lancashire Renewables, a subsidiary of Lancashire County Council, to move municipal and recyclable waste to its two central waste treatment facilities in the region.
Under the five year fleet hire and maintenance contract, sealed in January this year, Monks has provided 30 new Volvo FH tractor units and 30 BMI waste transfer trailers with moving floors and ejectors.
