A SURVEY of drivers, fleet managers and other industry professionals who read the major industry magazines found more than half (56%) say the camera technology improved driver behaviour, and 47% of those surveyed said incident reports had seriously decreased after installation.
The survey, by vehicle safety manufacturer Brigade Electronics, also found 29% said personal injury claims had dropped, while 32% saw a reduction in insurance costs.
Chris Hanson-Abbott OBE, of Brigade Electronics, said: ‘The survey results demonstrate the tangible benefits of installing cameras on fleet vehicles. As well as reducing accidents, the technology can generate significant savings on insurance bills and costly personal injury claims.’
