ROBERT Purvis Plant Hire Ltd of Lochgelly has just taken delivery of six brand new DAF tippers each fitted with a Harsh combined ram and tank front end tipping gear.
‘Tipper specifications just keep getting better and better,’ says managing director Craig Purvis, ‘so there’s always something new to learn. For these latest vehicles, we switched to Harsh front end gears for their combination of low weight, high strength and proven local support.
‘Installed on our preferred DAF chassis with Thompsons Loadmaster Lite multi purpose steel bodies, the end result is a set of highly productive trucks that are also some 200kg lighter than the ones they replace.’
