BATHGATE based Lothian Vehicle Bodybuilders Ltd have a new investment team on board after Gordon and Rosina Nisbet felt that the time was right to allow external investment into the company to realise its full growth potential.
Gordon will be retaining an equal share in the business, along with four other investors who all have an established track record of successful business growth. Rosina will assist with the transition for a short period of time.
Gordon stated, ‘LVB Ltd has built up a fantastic reputation over the years within the vehicle bodybuilding industry. That reputation is something we value greatly and as such the LVB name is retained in the new business as we plan to maintain and enhance the services offered. Rosina and I are grateful to our employees, customers and suppliers for their support over the years. All the existing staff are retained in the company and it is our intention to grow and expand our business in Bathgate. Going forward, it is very much a case of ‘business as usual’.’
The new investors between them also own JC Gillespie Engineering Ltd based in Kirkcaldy, Greenfold Systems Ltd in Dunfermline which also has a facility in Rochester, Kent. Greenfold Systems Scarborough Ltd based in Scarborough, and Excel Assemblies Ltd with facilities in Croatia and Bosnia. These companies employ a combined staff of 1,000 across their various locations.
