HGV TRAINING specialist HGVC has extended its Skills Bootcamps training programme with the addition of fully funded courses. Employers interested in recruiting novice HGV drivers can now secure 100% of the funding needed to train candidates.
HGVC is also offering recruitment days with its regional training centres, for employers to undertake medical assessment, trial and initial interviews with candidates. This allows firms to undertake early stage vetting ahead of enrolling new recruits on the Skills Bootcamp programme, which are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks.
In January, HGVC was awarded £10m in funding from the Department of Education (DfE) to train thousands of HGV driver candidates over the next two years.
